  Parents/Guardians Right to Know

The Title I, Part A Program makes it possible to expand the basic educational programs schools offer with services and interventions to support students needing additional help.  Title I, Part A is one of many programs governed by the Elementary and Secondary Education Act or ESEA.  Navigator Pointe Academy is eligible for federal funding to provide targeted, academic instructional assistance to all kindergarten students.

Parents/Guardians may request the following information about your child’s teacher’s professional qualifications:

  • Whether your child’s teacher has met state qualifications and licensing requirements for the grade level in which the teacher teaches your child;

  • If your child’s teacher is teaching under either an emergency or other provisional status through which state qualification or licensing criteria has been waived;

  • The college baccalaureate degree major and any other graduate certification or degree held by your child’s teacher, as well as the field in which the teacher is certified or received their degree;

  • Whether your child is receiving services from paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.

To request information regarding your child’s teacher and paraprofessionals working with your child under this teacher’s direction, please contact your principal.
